Happy Easter! As always, the kids were up early to find their hidden Easter baskets. We were thinking the cats would get into the baskets if we left the out overnight, so Carp had to get up earlier than the kids to hide them. I was sick so I didn't get to participate in too much this Easter. Carp took the kids to church and made Easter dinner all by himself. It was tasty! The kids colored eggs and had an egg hunt later in the day. Kudos to Carp for doing all he could to keep our traditions going while I was down. He's the man! (or - He's the Dad!) I am grateful our kids understand we celebrate Easter to remember the resurrection of our Savior. We enjoy the eggs and candy, but ask any of them why we have a special day such as Easter and they know it is about Christ.
